About Laya AI

Laya AI is an independent site about Laya, the open-source non-autoregressive System 1 decision model released by Convai Innovations in September 2026. It is written for engineers who have to decide whether to put a decision model into production.

What we publish

• Fine-tuning and deployment walkthroughs, including the steps that go wrong
• Cost and latency analysis with the test conditions stated
• Disambiguation notes, because “laya” returns a game engine and a travel assistant too

Where our numbers come from

Performance figures are attributed to their source and never presented without test conditions. When we quote a latency number, we say which GPU and whether it is a median, a mean or a batch-amortised figure. When a benchmark favours a competing model, we publish that result alongside the favourable ones.

Primary sources are the official GitHub repository and Hugging Face model card. We link to them rather than paraphrasing them, and we recommend reading both before you commit engineering time.
